Thank You Thomas!

Hello Thomas. I am one of your victims. I really want to say, WAY TO GO! You did it. You finally did it. You managed to disappoint me twice. Now me, I am just some guy. Some guy who believed that maybe just maybe this man would keep his word. I believed in Juice and Neighborhood, and I worked on both tirelessly. I worked nonstop to do juice, but in the end my visa got rejected. I didn’t even receive the slightest reward/appreciation for wasting 250 hours of my life. However, I wasn’t quick to blame you. I said to myself that it was my fault in some sort of complicated way. Then you announced your next big event Neighborhood. I again put my time and effort into Neighborhood. I was really happy until you announced that you would be packing it up with our compensation being cloths. I am going to be very honest; truly. I hate you.

Thank you for making this happen! I had so much fun working on my project - I never really imagined being able to put in 100 hours into a single project, and learned so many cool things along the way. Honestly, the entire journey was fun! You're the best, Thomas! Thank you! :))

Thank you so much Thomas for planning this event. While I wasn't really involved with Neighborhood, as a Hack Clubber, I can't deny the work you've put into this wonderful event, which might have been, for many teenage hackers in many countries, their only opportunities to independently travel to San Francisco and meet other people like them. Although this might not have ended in the way we wanted, Neighborhood sets a foundation for future Hack Club events like it. Please don't be discouraged to organize more events like this in the future to help connect teenagers around the world further! Again, thank you Thomas for everything at Neighborhood, and keep the events coming!

Thank you Thomas, very cool 😎 I never thought i would ever reach to visit the United States, especially so early in my life, and being able to do this with my friends, and to have the opportunity to interact with people that share the same passion as me was incredible. I really, really hope I can join you next year in the new event you will organise!

Thank you so much Thomas. While this ends early for some, many amazing lessons were learned for many of us, many great friends, and overall just an amazing time. I will remember this event forever, I'll only remember how it ended for at most a month. Every single thing that you said you wanted from this program has happened for me! I really really appreciate everything you have done, there were some rough parts but overall it worked. Thank you, please don't be discouraged from making an event in the future even if it was smaller, so far this was wonderfully executed but some people are hard to please. For real, I've never been so excited for anything in my life before, and this was everything I'd hoped it be. This certainly was an adventure.

Thanks Thomas for this whole experience. Even if it didn't go 100% as planned, it was still the greatest experience I've taken part in. Being able to be surrounded by people like me, from all around the world, in the US..was my #1 summer so far. thanks.

Thank you so much Thomas. Words alone aren’t enough to show how greatful we are for you to be able to host this amazing event. Although many may consider it failed with some of the stuff going on. I think you are doing the right thing by continuing at a smaller scale. You should definitely host this same event at a much smaller scale. Because of this event we’ve lots of new people and it truly exposed some of us to other cultures from around the world. Neighborhood has helped everyone of us and made us into a better person. Thank you for everything.

Hi thomas, I really dont know what to put here but I would like to just say, I havent been in neighborhood for long, and in the week I have been here, I have had my fair share of problems, I have also made a fair share of memories! I never thought I would meet so many people here that dont yell "He's Hacking!!" when I open terminal, and think writing code is just me "Hacking into the mainframe", Overall I really really wish neighborhood didnt have to end early and I hope to come to future hack club events! P.S to anyone else reading this, image uploads only work on desktop, if you want an image uploaded, let me know your name (just say anonymous if you dont want to, and send me your image, I will get them posted with a message as well!)

Nobody can deny your commitment and the sacrifices you make pushing for cool experiences for teenagers globally; thanks for being so incredibly awesome!

Thank you Thomas, even though I wasn't involved with neighborhood itself, it provided a welcoming community to support my trip to undercity. You allowed me and my friends to be safe and make new and rekindle old connections.

Thanks so much for organizing this amazing event Thomas! I dont know if anyone else that I know would have been able to handle managing this program so well and always showing up with a positive attitude to everything. First of all, this has all been an unreal experience. I have never felt so much independence in my life, and I thank you for letting me experience this.
